Assumption College Library
The Assumption College Library welcomes students every day of the week and is located at the heart of the school. Students can visit the library before and after school, and at lunch time, to study, read, borrow resources or enjoy a variety of board games.
The library collection includes fiction, senior fiction, graphic novels and magazines, as well as a range of non-fiction titles to assist students with research. During the year, a number of activities are run through the library including chess club, coding club and craft groups. Our digital collections include ebooks, audiobooks and access to the GALE Virtual Reference Library, Britannica Online (encyclopedia), the EBSCO academic databases and many other free resources accessed through our Library Catalogue One Search. The library also houses the school’s printers for student use.
Library staff are available to assist students with research and assignment writing skills, book advice, and digital issues with iPads, printing, etc. The library catalogue, as well as the school’s online research portal, are available online, both at school and at home using the new Access-it library management software.
